The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is one of the world’s largest and most famous hot-air balloon festivals, attracting visitors, photographers, pilots and ballooning enthusiasts from across the globe. The 55th edition of this spectacular nine-day event will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from October 2 to October 10, 2027.

The festival features more than 500 colourful hot-air balloons filling the sky with spectacular shapes and designs. Visitors can experience exciting morning mass ascensions, where hundreds of balloons launch together, creating an unforgettable view across the New Mexico landscape. Special Shape Rodeos showcase creatively designed balloons in different shapes, while Dawn Patrol flights offer beautiful balloon displays before sunrise.

Evening programmes include the famous Balloon Glow, where balloons remain on the ground and illuminate the night sky with their powerful burners. The festival also features balloon competitions, live entertainment, food vendors, local products, merchandise stalls and family-friendly activities. It provides a wonderful opportunity to experience Albuquerque’s culture, tourism and ballooning traditions while enjoying one of the most visually impressive outdoor celebrations in the United States.
