The Fairhope Film Festival is a four-day annual celebration of independent cinema held in downtown Fairhope, Alabama. The festival brings together filmmakers, actors, film enthusiasts and audiences to experience outstanding films from across the United States and around the world.

The festival showcases a curated selection of independent feature films, documentaries, international films and short films. Screenings take place at multiple venues throughout downtown Fairhope, creating a walkable film-festival experience.

The programme includes:

• Independent film screenings: A selection of national and international feature films, documentaries and short films.
• International cinema: Films presenting different cultures, perspectives and stories from around the world.
• Filmmaker interactions: Opportunities to connect with filmmakers and learn about their creative work.
• Special screenings and premieres: Selected films receive special presentations, including premiere events.
• Opening night celebration: A special film screening and gathering to launch the festival.
• Red carpet events and parties: Social events celebrating films, filmmakers and festival participants.
• 48-Hour Filmmakers’ Scramble: A creative challenge in which teams write, film and edit a short movie within 48 hours.

The festival’s 2026 programme includes the US premiere of Luck My Life on November 12, along with several other feature films and documentary screenings.

Timings:

• November 12: Opening-night film screening at 6:00 PM.
• November 13–14: Multiple film screenings throughout the day.
• November 14: Red Carpet Party scheduled for 7:00–10:00 PM.
• November 15: Final-day screenings and award-winning film presentations.

The festival also uses other downtown venues for special events.
