Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza 2027
The Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza is an annual hunting, fishing, wildlife, and outdoor-recreation show held in Pearl, Mississippi, and billed as the state’s traditional kickoff to hunting season. The 2027 edition is scheduled for July 23–25, 2027, at the Muse Center.
Dates and hours
The confirmed 2027 hours are Friday, July 23, noon–7 p.m.; Saturday, July 24, 9 a.m.–7 p.m.; and Sunday, July 25, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The venue is the Clyde Muse Center at 515 Country Place Parkway in Pearl, a large exhibition facility with indoor and outdoor areas used by the show.
What the show is like
The Extravaganza centers on hunting, fishing, outdoor equipment, outfitters, wildlife organizations, demonstrations, entertainment, and family activities. The 2026 show drew more than 12,000 visitors and included archery challenges, casting and children’s activities, wildlife presentations, retriever demonstrations, a big-buck contest, giveaways, and outdoor personalities; these illustrate the show’s format, although the detailed 2027 attractions and appearance schedule has not yet been announced.
Shopping and exhibitors
A substantial vendor floor is part of the experience. The 2026 edition listed more than 100 hunting, fishing, and outdoor exhibitors alongside food vendors and outdoor attractions, while Market at the Ganza adds arts, crafts, gifts, boutiques, and artisan merchandise. Updated 2027 vendor documents and the full exhibitor lineup are still forthcoming.
Why it stands out
The event has a long history as one of Mississippi’s major consumer outdoor shows; the Mississippi Wildlife Federation has described it as the state’s oldest and most recognized outdoor show. It combines a trade-show-style marketplace with hands-on recreation and family entertainment, making it broader than a conventional hunting-equipment expo.
