SUMMARY:EquiFest of Kansas 2027
DESCRIPTION:EquiFest of Kansas 2027 is a three-day\, all-breed horse fair a
nd equine exposition running February 26–28\, 2027\, at the Stormont Vai
l Events Center in Topeka. Produced by the Kansas Horse Council\, the 2027
edition marks EquiFest’s 30th anniversary and combines horse competitio
 ns\, education\, entertainment\, exhibits\, and shopping.\nWhat happens at
EquiFest\nThe event is designed to cover a broad cross-section of horse c
ulture rather than a single discipline. Programming includes ranch rodeos\
 , speed events\, horsemanship demonstrations\, clinics and workshops\, alo
 ngside live music\, poetry\, storytelling\, historical presentations\, and
a stall-barn showcase featuring horses and other equines ranging from min
is to draft animals.\nSchedule and venue\nEquiFest takes place at Stormont
  Vail Events Center\, 1 Expocentre Drive\, Topeka\, Kansas. Vendor hours a
 re 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Sunday\; arena
programming extends until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday\, while workshops r
un throughout the daytime\, with Sunday programming beginning as early as
8 a.m.\nTickets\nAdmission is $30 for one day or $75 for all three days fo
r ages 15+\, and $15 for one day or $40 for three days for ages 6–14\; c
hildren 5 and younger are free but still require a wristband. The organize
r currently says there are no advance ticket sales—wristbands are sold a
t the venue box office during EquiFest—and general admission covers acti
vities across the expo buildings\, including daytime and evening programmi
ng.\nWhy 2027 is notable\nThe Kansas Horse Council launched EquiFest in 19
98 in Wichita\, and the event subsequently spent periods in Topeka and Sal
ina before returning to Topeka in 2026. The organizer estimates roughly 15
\,000 attendees annually\, and EquiFest serves as the Kansas Horse Council
’s primary fundraiser\, making the 30th-anniversary edition both a large
public horse expo and a significant gathering for Kansas’s equine commu
 nity
