  Quality in Homes\nWebinar: Indoor Air Quality in Homes is a two-hour onli
 ne training from the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers (
 CACEO) focused on code enforcement’s role in protecting resident health.
  Scheduled for January 12\, 2027\, it connects common housing conditions w
 ith indoor-air health risks and the California codes and enforcement pract
 ices available to address them.\nWhat the training covers\nThe course addr
 esses pest infestations\, dampness and mold\, lead hazards\, and other con
 ditions that can create unhealthy indoor environments. Participants are ta
 ught how to recognize potential problems\, identify applicable state codes
 \, ensure repairs adequately resolve hazards\, and protect themselves from
  exposure while conducting enforcement work.\n\nA notable component is an 
 overview of AB 548\, legislation signed in 2023 aimed at helping code enfo
 rcement identify severe\, building-wide health hazards in multifamily hous
 ing. This makes the webinar more specifically oriented toward California e
 nforcement practice than a general consumer course on ventilation or indoo
 r pollutants.\nPresenters\nThe announced faculty combines public-health an
 d code-enforcement experience. Presenters include Brandon Kitagawa of Regi
 onal Asthma Management and Prevention\; Anya Cross-James and John Beckman 
 of the California Department of Public Health\; and retired enforcement/he
 althy-homes officials Larry Brooks and Leonard Powell.\nSchedule\, credit\
 , and registration\nThe webinar runs Tuesday\, January 12\, 2027\, from 10
 :00 a.m. to noon and awards 2 CEU credits. CACEO lists fees of $60 early-b
 ird/$65 regular for members and $120 early-bird/$125 regular for nonmember
