2027 Florida Groundwater Conference
The 2027 Florida Groundwater Conference is a two-day American Ground Water Trust (AGWT) event focused on groundwater science, management, engineering, regulation, and water-resource issues specific to Florida. It is scheduled for January 19–20, 2027, at the Florida Hotel & Conference Center in Orlando.
What the conference covers
The conference is designed to bring water managers, regulators, scientists, engineers, consultants, attorneys, groundwater users, and other stakeholders into the same conversation. Topics identified for the 2027 program include groundwater monitoring and management, groundwater availability and development, underground injection control, utility planning, well construction and rehabilitation, water quality, and public outreach and education.
Format and professional value
A distinctive feature is the single-room format: rather than dividing attendees among concurrent tracks, the program keeps the groundwater community together for technical presentations, panels, discussion, and networking. The preceding 2026 event drew more than 130 attendees and sold out, with water managers/agency staff and consultants/engineers making up large portions of attendance.
Continuing education
The 2027 conference offers a Certificate of Attendance, and Florida water/wastewater operator continuing education has been approved for 1.2 CEUs for both days, or 0.6 CEU for either individual day. Approval for Florida water-well contractors is listed as pending.
Registration and venue
As currently posted, attendee and sponsorship registration are open, while exhibitor space has already sold out. The venue is the Florida Hotel & Conference Center, 1500 Sand Lake Road, Orlando, Florida 32809; AGWT notes that the conference hotel sold out in 2026 and lists December 28, 2026 as the deadline for the 2027 discounted room block, subject to availability.
