Christmas Village in Baltimore
Christmas Village in Baltimore is an indoor-outdoor German-style Christmas market at West Shore Park on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The 2026 edition is its 13th season, combining more than 70 local and international vendors with European food and drink, holiday attractions, live programming, and waterfront festivities.
2026 dates and hours
The season runs November 21–December 27, 2026, beginning with Preview Weekend on November 21–22 and officially opening on Thanksgiving, November 26. Regular hours are noon–8 p.m. Sunday–Thursday and noon–9 p.m. Friday–Saturday, with shorter hours on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve; the market is closed on specified Mondays and Tuesdays, November 25, and Christmas Day.
What makes it distinctive
The market is modeled on traditional European holiday markets, with wooden vendor huts, a heated festival tent and German specialties including bratwurst, raclette and Glühwein. Major attractions include the illuminated German Christmas Pyramid, a 65-foot Ferris wheel, Christmas Carousel, Santa at the Baltimore Visitor Center and the Festival of Trees benefiting Kennedy Krieger Institute; 2026 also adds an expanded Bavarian Beer Haus and new food offerings.
Special events
The season includes a Christmas Tree Lighting on November 21, followed by the Christkind arrival and Pyramid Lighting on November 28. German American Weekend takes place December 5–6, Family Weekend follows December 12–13, and Santa appearances and performances continue through much of the season. ation
The outdoor market is always free, while the heated festival tent is free on weekdays and during Preview Weekend. On select weekend dates, visitors 18 and older pay $5 for a season pass to the tent; under-18 admission is free. The village occupies West Shore Park, 501 Light Street, between the Maryland Science Center and Baltimore Visitor Center, with the 2026 season notably extending past Christmas for a final weekend on December 26–27.
