Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo 2027
The Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo is Jackson, Mississippi’s major annual Western-sports and agricultural celebration, combining professional rodeo, livestock competition, equestrian events, and country-music concerts. The 2027 rodeo is scheduled for February 12–20, with no rodeo performances February 15–16, at the Mississippi Coliseum.
Rodeo competition
The 62nd annual edition features nine PRCA rodeo performances, with competitors in bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding. The event is described by organizers as one of the largest shows of its kind east of the Mississippi River and traces its roots to an educational program for Mississippi cattle producers.
Concert lineup
Each 2027 rodeo performance is paired with a post-rodeo country concert. The announced artists are Braxton Keith, Zach John King, Deana Carter, Blake Whiten, Chris Janson, Ole 60, and Emily Ann Roberts, with afternoon and evening performances scheduled on selected weekend dates.
Beyond the arena
The broader Dixie National tradition extends well beyond the headline rodeo, incorporating junior and open livestock shows, horse and cattle events, trade and marketplace activities, and other agricultural programming at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds. Detailed 2027 Junior Round-Up information was still forthcoming on the official site, while a 2027 Open Show schedule had already been posted.
