Kee Live Music Festival brings jazz and blues performances to Cherokee, Iowa, through a two-day programme of concerts and pub-crawl-style entertainment. The event uses several downtown venues, allowing visitors to move between performances and experience different artists throughout the festival. The 2027 programme includes performances by The Dakota Jazz 4, Little Richie and the Fabulous 50’s, The Punching Pandas, Kurt Burt with Denham, David Basse and Hector Anchondo. In addition to the evening music programme, the festival offers a student music clinic led by The Dakota Jazz at Cherokee Middle School.
A Saturday open jam session gives musicians and music lovers an opportunity to participate in a shared musical experience. The organisers also provide a courtesy car service to help visitors travel between venues, accommodation and local destinations safely.
