Missoula Marathon Weekend of Events is a major annual running celebration organised by Run Wild Missoula. The 2027 event takes place over three days and welcomes runners, families, fitness enthusiasts and spectators to enjoy a range of races and community activities in Missoula, Montana.

The weekend begins on Friday with a free Beer Run and the Runner Expo at Caras Park Pavilion. The expo features health and fitness vendors, running merchandise, refreshments and race packet collection.

Saturday’s programme includes the Tony Banovich 5K and the Missoula Kids Marathon. The children’s race gives young participants an opportunity to experience the excitement of a marathon-style event, with a shorter course of approximately 1.2 miles.

Sunday is the main race day, featuring the full 26.2-mile Missoula Marathon and the 13.1-mile Half Marathon. Both races follow scenic point-to-point routes through the Missoula area and finish in historic downtown Missoula.

The full marathon is a USATF-certified course and a Boston Marathon qualifier. Participants receive race merchandise, finisher medals and downloadable race photographs. The weekend also includes volunteer activities and post-race celebrations, making it a community-focused sporting event.
