116th Annual Grangeville Border Days – 2027 Parades

The Grangeville Border Days parades are a centerpiece of the 116th annual Border Days Independence Day celebration in Grangeville, Idaho, scheduled for July 1–4, 2027. The official program has parades at 2:00 p.m. on July 2, 3, and 4, alongside rodeo, street sports, arts and crafts, and other community traditions.

Three days of parades

Rather than a single Fourth of July procession, Border Days holds a 2:00 p.m. parade on three consecutive days: July 2, July 3, and July 4. The format is part of a broader Western-themed celebration that the local Chamber describes as one of North Central Idaho’s major community traditions, built around parades, Idaho’s oldest rodeo, entertainment, and the well-known egg toss.

Participating in the parade

Parade entries are scheduled to open June 1 and close June 30, 2027. Participants check in each parade day at Patrick’s Trucking, 218 North C Street, at least 45 minutes before the 2:00 p.m. start and receive a lineup number; entries must participate all three days to be eligible for awards. Water-spraying devices and open alcohol containers are prohibited.

A full Border Days schedule

The parades sit within a packed daily rhythm: street sports begin at 9:00 a.m. July 2–4, including activities centered around Heritage Square, while rodeo performances are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. July 1–3. Border Days runs July 1–4 overall, making the parades part of a multi-day celebration rather than a stand-alone procession.

Western heritage and community tradition

Border Days combines Independence Day festivities with Grangeville’s Western and rodeo heritage. The Chamber highlights parades, live entertainment and the World’s Largest Egg Toss alongside Idaho’s oldest rodeo, giving the event a distinctly local mix of civic celebration and rodeo culture.
